Responsibilities Check-in patients or greet customers in a friendly, professional manner. Obtain complete registration from the patient. Prepare the encounter, verifying insurance referral and/or prior authorizations are valid and print the medication lists. Scanning and filing medical record images into the electronic medical record (EMR/eCW.). Enter electronic messages to other departments to assist with patient flow and document patient wait times. Assist the Billing Department with collecting co-pays and patient balances. Provide the billing department with a clear copy of insurance cards and current demographic information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge of patient scheduling techniques/insurance & billing preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED.
