Position Overview
A high-growth, privately held SaaS company on Long Island is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join its dynamic sales team in a newly created role driven by growth. Its platform helps more than 600 public-sector organizations streamline operations and serve their communities more efficiently, and it was named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. In this role, you will generate leads, book demos, and build the early-stage pipeline that drives new business. It is a strong opportunity for a motivated professional to build a sales career in a booming SaaS industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and existing territories by generating qualified leads and cultivating early-stage opportunities
- Present the value proposition to prospects, overcoming objections and answering competitive questions
- Schedule demos with prospects to keep the Account Executive pipeline full
- Drive daily outreach through cold calling and emailing to prospects across multiple time zones
- Track all prospecting activity in Salesforce.com
- Manage administrative tasks that keep sales operations running smoothly
- Attend trade shows and industry events, with minimal travel
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of corporate office experience in a sales, business development, or lead generation role
- B2B tech or SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com is a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office is a plus
- Familiarity with Zoom is a plus
