Title: Clinic Supervisor Department Org: OP-Clinic-Admin - 110270 Employee Classification: J1 - Salaried Full Time HSC Bargaining Unit: Professional Staff Association Primary Location: HSC H Shift: 1 Start Time: 8am End Time: 5pm Posted Salary: Based on experience Float: True Rotate: True On Call: True Travel: True Weekend/Holiday: True Job Description: This role provides direct supervision to Medical Assistants, office staff, students, and volunteers as needed. Provides overall supervision of clinic functions in the absence of the Clinic Manager or as delegated. Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day clinic operations in the absence of the clinic manager. This role also assists in the implementation of the delivery of health care services, assists fellow employees in providing the highest quality personalized patient care, and maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Graduate from an approved School of Medical Assisting or Nursing, preferred. Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN State licensure preferred. Two – three (2-3) years previous leadership preferred. Previous clinic experience preferred. Previous Ambulatory Care nursing experience, medical assistant experience, or equivalent related clinical experience required. Possesses knowledge and skills in techniques of good patient care and maintains competency through continuing education. Exhibits accuracy, integrity, and flexibility to work multiple outpatient areas. Motivated to plan and organize work, and to work without supervision. Displays tact and courtesy in dealing with patients and visitors. Able to maintain an effective working relationship with personnel and the medical staff. Must be punctual and Dependable. Maintains certification in CPR. Successfully completes orientation within three months.
