Systems Engineer

Salary: $144,000 - 184,000 per year Requirements:

• We welcome candidates with a basic grasp of Azure and AWS cloud platforms and the services they provide.
• We value familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes environments like AKS and EKS, shared GitHub Actions libraries, and scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, Python, and YAML.
• Exposure to DevOps CI/CT/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Sonar Cloud, Argo CD, and Harness is an advantage.
• We look for foundational knowledge of cloud engineering concepts, networking, Windows and Linux environments, and IT operations tools such as monitoring, logging, alerting, and ServiceNow.
• Experience with containerization platforms such as AKS, EKS, and OpenShift, as well as serverless technologies, is a plus.
• We seek strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• We want the ability to translate business requirements into infrastructure needs.
• We need a basic understanding of security technologies for private and public cloud environments.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
• We value excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• We appreciate the ability to build relationships, earn trust, influence colleagues at all levels, and identify business needs.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing is preferred.
• Exposure to blue/green deployment and canary testing is a plus.

• We support cloud deployments across Azure and AWS using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible, while ensuring effective use of reusable IaC modules.
• We promote cloud-native practices by evaluating, recommending, and engineering PaaS solutions and maintaining guidance and standards.
• We use DevOps and DevSecOps toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC scripts to deliver cloud services.
• We support engineering and operations teams in maintaining end-to-end availability and performance for mission-critical services.
• We monitor emerging technologies to improve network and application performance, strengthen security, and raise service quality.
• We build strong partnerships with Enterprise Architecture, Automation, and other key groups to improve collaboration and streamline deployments.
• We document reference implementations and develop long-term plans to build, sustain, and enhance IT infrastructure with resilience and minimal downtime.
• We collaborate with engineering, architecture, and development teams to integrate software and systems engineering into scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native solutions.
• We work with the Automation team to automate repetitive work, apply monitoring and predictive alerting, and ensure key metrics drive improvement.
• We gain experience with our DevSecOps and infrastructure automation platforms to support deployment activities.
• We partner with Enterprise Architecture and the Automation team to align deployments with modern infrastructure engineering and development practices.
• We help define required functionality and manage resources in support of business objectives.
