Position Details Position Title: Limited-Term Instructor of PSYCHOLOGY Posting Number: PTI00133P Classification Title: Part-Time Instructors Department: Cultural & Behavioral Science College: Perimeter College Campus: College-wide Desired Start Date: 08/26/2024 Position Description Limited-term instructor positions are non‑tenure track, term‑to‑term appointments. Depending on need, they are renewable by the department for up to three additional semesters. Responsibilities Provide 18 semester hours of instruction per semester. Maintain at least 8 office hours per week. Work effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff, and students. Connect students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression. Required Experience Teaching experience required. Required Education A minimum of a master’s degree in Psychology (completed by the date of appointment) or a minimum of a master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required. Preferred Qualifications/Experience Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate level Psychology courses. Prior online teaching experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to teach Psychology courses at the collegiate level. Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods. Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations None specified. Pre-Employment Requirements A criminal history check is required. Work Hours Position may require non‑standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations). Salary 10 month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
