Application Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Application Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimise enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring application availability, performance, security, and user support across business systems. The ideal candidate has experience with application lifecycle management, system configuration, and troubleshooting in a dynamic IT environment. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain business applications and systems Monitor application performance, uptime, and reliability Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues and incidents Manage user access, roles, and permissions Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures Support integration between applications and other systems Ensure compliance with security policies and data protection standards Assist in testing and deployment of new features or applications Qualifications Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2–5+ years of experience in application support or administration Experience with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HR systems, etc.) Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and middleware Knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Core Competencies Application Management & Support System Configuration & Optimisation Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting Documentation & Process Improvement Security & Compliance Awareness Communication & Collaboration Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, SaaS platforms) Certifications in relevant systems (Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.) Familiarity with ITIL framework or service management tools Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.) Benefits Competitive hourly compensation Flexible remote or hybrid working arrangements Opportunities for professional development and certifications Exposure to enterprise-level systems and technologies Supportive and collaborative work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr RW Mercer Co.
