Facilities CoordinatorThe Facilities Coordinator supports the day-to-day upkeep, organization, and operational readiness of facilities across the company, including office spaces, common areas, stockrooms, engineering labs, and production areas. This hands-on role helps maintain clean, orderly, well-stocked work environments so employees can work safely and efficiently. The Facilities Coordinator works under the direction of their manager, following established priorities, company procedures, and area-specific requirements while coordinating with engineering, production, and other departments.Thomas Global Systems is a leader in the design, manufacture and support of high-integrity aviation and defense electronics, operating out of locations in Sydney, Australia and Irvine, California.Location: Irvine, CA, fully onsite.What's on Offer:A varied, fast paced role with an innovative and respected leader in mission-critical aerospace and defense products.Competitive remuneration and comprehensive benefit package.Join a team of skilled and motivated people committed to innovation, collaboration, and national security outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine tidying and organization of shared spaces, storage areas, engineering labs, and production areas as directed.Keep walkways, workspaces, and designated storage locations orderly and free of clutter.Receive, label, organize, store, and distribute supplies and materials in designated locations.Replenish approved supplies and consumables throughout the facility.Assist with organizing tools, equipment, parts, and materials according to guidance from the manager and designated area owners.Support workspace setup, internal moves, and relocation of furniture, supplies, and equipment within established handling procedures.Identify and report facility maintenance needs, damaged equipment, supply shortages, and potential safety concerns.Assist with coordinating access and scheduling for cleaning, maintenance, and other service providers as assigned.Follow applicable safety, personal protective equipment, material-handling, and area-specific procedures.Track assigned tasks, communicate progress, and escalate issues requiring additional support or approval.Perform other related facilities and operational support duties as assigned by the manager.Coordinate and execute floor layout changes.Create and maintain floor layout maps up to date.Required Skills, Experience and Behaviors:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in facilities support, stockroom operations, inventory management, warehousing, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks reliably with appropriate supervision.Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory records, tracking tasks, and communicating updates.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.Effective communication skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting employees across departments.Commitment to safe work practices and willingness to complete required training.Ability to perform the essential duties of the role, including moving throughout the facility, standing, bending, reaching, and handling supplies and materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.Base salary range of $23/hr - $27/hr DOE per annum.
