About the Role
The Company is a global financial technology firm that is at the forefront of solving complex data-driven challenges for sophisticated financial institutions. The firm is currently seeking a VP for its Corporate Strategy team, which is instrumental in driving the organization's long-term success and shaping its future. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the firm's organic growth strategy, M&A agenda, and new strategic initiatives. This role demands a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with a strong background in investment banking, corporate development, principal investing, private equity, venture capital, or a combination thereof. The VP will be expected to contribute to both strategy and M&A, including evaluating investment and acquisition opportunities, driving deals, and supporting key strategic planning processes. Applicants for the VP position should have a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA or advanced degree being a plus, and 7-12 years of relevant experience. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in running or significantly contributing to deal processes, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities. A self-starter with a bias for action, capable of driving outcomes in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, is essential. Prior exposure to financial technology, data infrastructure, B2B SaaS, or capital markets technology is preferred, as is experience in a corporate development function at a technology company or a principal investing role with meaningful deal ownership. The VP will also be expected to have experience in leveraging AI and LLM tools to enhance the efficiency of corporate development work.
