Sr. Manager Policy and Premium Services

Overview Lead the Policy & Premium Services organization at Banner Life Insurance Company, directing team performance, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring high customer and partner satisfaction. Responsibilities Serve on the operations leadership team to shape strategy, culture, and delivery of results. Direct the Policy and Premium Services department to meet service level agreements and conversion targets, participating in daily demand meetings and steering short‑ and long‑term actions. Approve Risk and Control Matrices (RCM) and ensure process controls comply with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to maintain 100% regulatory compliance for all procedural changes. Oversee budgeting, operational planning, and forecasting, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Lead system and process improvements, develop business cases, and execute implementation; identify expense‑reduction opportunities. Manage key stakeholders—vendors, partners, and internal leaders—providing clear communication and performance visibility through regular service meetings. Act as a role‑model leader, coaching and developing direct reports, and setting high expectations for KPI delivery. Maintain overall compliance with business and company procedures, including performance reviews, timesheet management, expense management, continuity, and risk reporting. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience / Knowledge 6+ years of leadership experience, preferably in financial services. Budget oversight and management. Process improvement expertise. Change leadership and implementation. Life or Health Experience Preferred Strong personal brand. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication. Resilience under pressure and ability to multi‑task. Strong project management skills. Business‑owner mindset focused on employee and customer experience. Process improvement aptitude and skills. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $127,500 – $172,000 annually. Additional compensation may include sign‑on bonus, long‑term incentives, and annual bonuses. The role is eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan (current target 20% of base salary). Benefits include 20 vacation days, 10 sick days (accrual bi‑weekly), 9 paid holidays, health, life, and dental insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, a pension package, and well‑being initiatives.
