About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS required AWHONN Intermediate required for L&D RNs CPI required for CNA Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Patient diagnoses include heart failure, chest pain, end-stage renal disease, renal failure, neurologic conditions, respiratory failure, and syncope. The unit specializes in medical-surgical, telemetry, and stepdown care. Special equipment includes bedside monitors, cameras for fall prevention, and vein finders. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. This position requires floating as necessary. References will be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. Additional skills required include blood product administration, management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and peripheral line care. Daily census typically reaches 34 patients, with an interdisciplinary support team available. The unit accommodates adults and geriatrics. This role does not allow for local travelers and requires candidates to reside more than 65 miles from the facility. Candidates must apply with the necessary experience and licenses in hand.
