Accountant – Startup (Aerospace / Engineering) Florence, TX (will move to Cedar Park/Georgetown, TX within 3 months) | Full-Time About Us and the Role We are seeking an Accountant for a Start-Up to help build and manage our accounting and financial operations as we scale. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and building systems from the ground up. We are a fast‑growing aerospace and engineering company and our team supports cutting‑edge programs across space systems, propulsion, cyber‑security and industrial development. You will play a critical role in establishing processes, maintaining accurate financials, and supporting leadership with insights to guide decision‑making. This is an opportunity to join at the ground level and help shape the financial infrastructure of a company working on meaningful, high‑impact projects. What You’ll Do Own core accounting operations Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Intercompany accounting Prepare internal financial statements Maintain supporting schedules and documentation Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing Expense tracking and reimbursements Assist with government contract accounting Support cost tracking by project, contract, or customer Help maintain compliance with Government Accounting and related requirements Build and improve processes Help establish scalable accounting procedures and internal controls Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems Collaborate cross‑functionally Work closely with operations, program managers, and leadership Support budgeting and financial planning efforts What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–4 years of accounting experience (startup, public accounting, or industry) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Systems‑oriented mindset with interest in improving processes Experience with tools like QuickBooks, Odoo, Ramp, or similar is a plus Nice to Have: Exposure to government contracting, FAR, or cost accounting Experience in engineering, aerospace, or manufacturing environments Why Join Us Equity: Be an early contributor and share in the company’s upside Health Benefits: Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k): Company match with immediate vesting Impact: Direct visibility into leadership and company strategy Growth: Opportunity to grow with the company and expand your role To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be one of the following:
