Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and crisis intervention strategies to provide effective counseling for conditions such as addiction, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, offering consultation and coordinating care strategies to ensure comprehensive support for all clients.

• Create and facilitate parent support groups designed to empower families, particularly focusing on issues related to placement and adoption involving prenatally substance-exposed children.

• Deliver training sessions for community professionals and parents, addressing mental health issues and enhancing their understanding and skills related to family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your therapeutic practice will primarily involve working with individuals ranging from 0 to 21 years of age, along with their families. You will support clients facing various challenges, including mental health conditions, developmental disorders, and family dynamics. A strong knowledge base in child development, parenting, and intervention strategies for high-risk children will be essential in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Possession of a current, active California License in Marriage and Family Therapy.
