Job Title: Manufacturing Operator
Manufacturing Operator – 12 Hour Rotating Nights (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Location:
Collegeville PA
Salary:
$21/hr
Work Schedule:
12-hour rotating night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), following a 3 on, 4 off/4 on, 3 off schedule (totaling 40 hours per week). Specific scheduling details will be provided. Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating and setting up machines involved in the production of precision metal tubes. This role ensures quality standards are met, documents all work using established procedures, and maintains a high standard of safety within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Core Beliefs and all safety/quality requirements.
• Set up and operate precision metal tube drawing bull wheel equipment to meet quality specifications.
• Maintain performance according to quality light system processes.
• Read and follow technical procedures, maintenance instructions, and specifications.
• Apply discipline expertise to complete tasks independently and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Accurately document all production and shipping/receiving activities.
• Receive, label, handle, and move materials per company policies.
• Perform in-process and visual inspections (unaided and with magnification) using micrometers, dies, gauges, and dimensional inspection systems.
• Segregate conforming and non-conforming products as per procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve current processes.
• Participate in Operational Excellence activities or teams.
• Comply with mandatory overtime as business needs dictate (including possible weekday/weekend OT with advance notice).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of company-related work and/or 4+ years of machine operation in a manufacturing environment. Medical device experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematics and working with small, precision parts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, etc.) is mandatory.
• Regular exposure to machining fluids, solvents, lubricants, and chemicals (with proper safety controls).
• Use of material handling and safety devices as provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/carry materials frequently during 12-hour shifts.
• Standing, bending, sitting, reaching, and grabbing material as needed during the shift.
• Active participation in safety training, committees, and hazard resolution initiatives.
