Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and neonatal patients. This role involves collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care throughout the childbirth journey.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, ensuring safety and compliance with clinical protocols.
• Deliver patient education on childbirth, postpartum care, lactation, and neonatal management.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with clinical procedures as required.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Triage incoming patient requests and respond effectively to high telephone volume inquiries.
• Document healthcare activities accurately, adhering to HIPAA and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Have at least one year of recent clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Hold an Associate Nursing Degree or higher (for positions post-07/01/2018).
• Be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a valid compact state.
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
