Located on the third floor of the iconic Bal Harbour Shops, Makoto is a contemporary Japanese restaurant from STARR Restaurants and acclaimed Chef Makoto Okuwa. Blending traditional Japanese techniques with modern flavors and exceptional ingredients, Makoto offers an elevated dining experience featuring pristine sushi, signature robata dishes, and innovative cuisine in a vibrant indoor-outdoor setting. Designed by internationally renowned designer India Mahdavi, the restaurant combines sophisticated design, warm hospitality, and culinary excellence to create one of South Florida's premier dining destinations. We are seeking Sushi Cooks who have refined the art of Nigiri, Sashimi, and Sushi making, but are now looking to learn more.

Qualified Sushi Chefs will:
- Have 2+ years working as a sushi chef/cook
- Be familiar with Japanese cuisine along with classic cooking styles & preparations
- Work well under pressure and with multiple menu items in a high volume restaurant
- Have strong knife skills
