Work Environment

The position is based in our modern rehabilitation center located in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, known for its beautiful beaches and a supportive healthcare community. This full-time role features a Monday to Friday schedule, encompassing a typical 40-hour workweek where clinicians engage directly with patients in a hands-on manner, collaborating closely with a multidimensional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring alignment with best practice guidelines.
• Provide specialized therapeutic care addressing a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service, contributing to a positive clinic atmosphere and enhancing the overall effectiveness of patient care.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and shared insights.
• Offer in-home therapy sessions when appropriate, using established procedures and techniques to effect meaningful improvements in patient function.
• Engage in patient and caregiver education, empowering them to participate actively in their recovery process.
• Meet minimum utilization goals and contribute to business objectives, further positioning Down East Care as a leader in rehabilitative services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a diverse range of individuals, from children to older adults, each with distinct rehabilitative needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Possession of a valid state license in Physical Therapy and current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proven ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients, maximizing their engagement and participation in the rehabilitation process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by proficiency in computer and word processing software.
• A sincere desire to positively connect with patients and colleagues, exhibiting a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but not required.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings or specialty areas such as orthopedics or sports medicine.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
