This role offers the flexibility of remote work within a supportive telehealth setting. You will collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals. Your schedule will primarily consist of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to meet patient needs. You will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems and communication tools that facilitate seamless integration of care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that are sensitive to the complexities of aging and the specific needs of elderly clients.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that account for cognitive, physical, and social factors affecting mental health, ensuring a holistic approach.

• Provide evidence-based therapies, including individual and family counseling, to address a spectrum of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on the geriatric population, managing a variety of psychiatric conditions that affect older adults. You will engage with patients experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, dementia, as well as adjustment issues related to significant life transitions. Establishing trust and rapport with elderly clients and their family members is vital to effectively deliver therapeutic interventions that can significantly improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.
