About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric OR Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Scrub experience required - Trauma experience preferably in a Level I trauma center - Neuro experience required (Adult experience acceptable) Description: General OR experience is acceptable. First-time travelers are not accepted. Shift requirements are 4x10s, 7:00-17:30, with an option for 5x8s, 7:00-15:30. Certification requirements include BLS. The unit is a Level I trauma center and includes the following specialties: ENT, Urology, Plastics, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Trauma, and Neurosurgery. Surgical procedures range from minor to very complex, including ECMO, burn procedures, tumor resections, and trauma procedures. The patient population includes neonates, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and some adults. Preferred skills include experience with Traumas, Abdominoplasty, ALIF, Ambulatory OR, Anterior cervical fusion, ACL reconstruction, and Colon resection among others. Floating may be required for travelers. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. License must be in hand before the start date. Two supervisor references are required. Candidates are expected to adhere to all compliance and orientation requirements.
