We’re actively seeking a Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026–2027 school year in the highly desirable Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District .
This is an excellent opportunity for contract professionals looking for a steady schedule, supportive team environment, and a manageable high school caseload —all within close proximity to San Jose , a major talent hub.
Position Highlights
- 32.5 hours per week – consistent schedule
- Full school-year contract (2026–2027)
- High school caseload only (focused, age-specific support)
- Located in Silicon Valley with easy commute from San Jose, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto
- Ideal for travel/contract therapists seeking stability

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to high school students under OTR supervision
- Carry out IEP-directed treatment plans
- Support students with fine motor, life skills, and classroom participation
- Document services and progress in compliance with district standards
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Requirements
- Active California COTA license
- Graduate of an accredited COTA program
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Comfortable working with a high school population
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
