CGP: Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Los Angeles , CA Contract Accounting $30/HR to $35/HR 08/26/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountantto assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and account reconciliations in support of monthly reporting requirements. Assist with month end and year end close activities while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting data. Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash activity, and research outstanding transactions or discrepancies. Support financial reporting, audit requests, and account analysis by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to accounting procedures. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, banking, or financial services environment. Prior experience performing bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and general ledger accounting functions. Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account analysis procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial management systems. Qualifications: Previous banking, treasury, cash management, or financial institution experience. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
