With offices throughout the United States and private equity backing, Prosperity is seeking an energetic tax professional to support our fast-growing business. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, superb accounting skills, budding leadership qualities and excellent communication and client service skills. Key Responsibilities: Work with a wide variety of company clients, from early-stage, fast-growth companies to high net worth families; Participate in accounting and tax projects; Prepare business, individual and trust income tax returns; Research and analyze complex tax issues; Assist with complex merger and acquisition transactions; Respond to routine tax notices; Be able to multi-task, respond to demanding client needs and thrive in a deadline-driven industry. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, employees are expected to be in the office two days per week. Qualifications: Accounting Degree from an accredited four-year university; CPA designation or working to obtain CPA qualification; Prior accounting experience via full-time employment. A strong interest in taxation is important; Proven understanding of transactional accounting and entries and the ability to draft GAAP-based financial reports; Proficient in accounting/tax software programs such as Quickbooks, Intacct, Prosystem FX, and/or CCH Axcess is strongly preferred; Success in prior work experience with the ability to self-manage & prioritize assignments and client interface; A strong work ethic combined with a positive, collaborative attitude; Self-motivated and comfortable excelling in both solo and team driven environments; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Availability to work in the office at least 2 days per week.
