Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, aspirations, and lifestyle preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote effective coping mechanisms and emotional regulation.

• Educate and involve clients and their families in the therapeutic process, providing them with resources and support regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, adhering strictly to all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and promote awareness of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your empathetic approach will be essential in providing support to individuals and families as they face challenges related to mental health. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives, which enriches the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
