LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a growing organization in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable processing a large volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

* Process high-volume accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner

* Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation

* Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation

* Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and payment exceptions

* Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries

* Prepare payments and ensure compliance with company procedures

* Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

* Reconcile vendor statements and identify outstanding items

* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient invoice processing

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years of recent accounts payable experience

* Proven experience with three-way matching processes

* Background handling high-volume invoice processing environments

* Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices

* Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
