Senior Accountant

A well-established publicly traded real estate investment trust in Irvine is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team, reporting to a Director of Accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant ready to take on meaningful responsibility within a sophisticated public company environment. You will own the full cycle of financial reporting for a key segment of the portfolio, with direct exposure to SEC reporting, variance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities Own the month-end close process for an assigned portfolio, including journal entries and financial reporting Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with a focus on identifying trends and variances Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of reported figures Support quarterly SEC filings and external reporting deliverables Maintain documentation and controls in compliance with SOX requirements Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and meet reporting deadlines Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Public company, real estate, or healthcare experience preferred Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines consistently Compensation $110,000 to $125,000 base salary, plus generous cash incentive plan Hybrid schedule based out of the Irvine office #J-18808-Ljbffr
