Schedule/Assignment Length:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, 1-hour unpaid meal break
• ASAP for 1-month+

Company/Position Overview: Our client, a service provider to hospitals along the Front Range, is interviewing immediately for a temporary HR Specialist to support their Pueblo operations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for Pueblo employees regarding benefits administration, Paycom support, and general employee questions and concerns. Responsible for coordinating and administering all onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, system setup, and conducting new employee orientation programs to ensure a positive and compliant onboarding experience.

Job Duties:

• Maintain personnel files

• Maintain I-9’s in Paycom upon hire

• Maintain medical records

• Handle all areas of benefits and 401(k)

• Support the recruitment process for all open positions within the plant

• Handle employee verifications, both verbal and written

• Submit background checks & process all new hire paperwork

• Maintain employee termination files

• Coordinate Hepatitis B vaccinations

• Schedule with Concentra
• Notify managers
• Call employees ahead of time, as a reminder

• Monitor absences and tardies and distribute warnings to managers

• File workers’ comp. claims

• Track FMLA/LOA/PFML

• Work with others on plant safety issues

• Keep Safety Committee meeting minutes

• Responsible for recordkeeping in connection with legal issues

• Schedule yearly flu shots

• Working knowledge of the union contract and handling issues relating to it

• Any other duties or tasks assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of human resources experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• HRIS system experience, Paycom preferred
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction
