Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities Maintain and process accounts payable for all SCAN entities and subdivisions in a timely and accurate manner. Enter A/P invoices into the Oracle ERP system. Review G/L coding and verify invoice amounts, including budget vs. non‑budget analysis. Perform monthly capitation check printing from Oracle ERP. Audit Concur out‑of‑pocket and credit card expense reports to ensure proper documentation and policy compliance. Coordinate with the Claims department and other Finance team members to administer the check void, trace, or stop‑payment process. Maintain payment registers, print A/P checks, and verify accuracy of payments, vendors, invoice numbers, and addresses. Audit consulting files for 1099 vendors and verify check requests against signed agreements. Communicate with requestors and vendors regarding payment status inquiries. Conduct monthly vendor reconciliation with the A/P aging report. Provide invoices and supporting documentation for prepaid assets, fixed asset purchases, and other transactions to assist month‑end close. Work with G/L accountant(s) to ensure accruals are correct for assigned departments. Ensure all invoices are coded to the proper GL account number and submitted timely. Provide reports for auditors, analysis, and special projects as assigned. Actively support and advance SCAN’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable preferred. Proficiency with PC applications, including email, Word, Excel, Oracle ERP, and SAP Concur preferred. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Strong knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures. Professional interaction with employees and vendors. Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliability.
