Job Description

Back-Office Medical Assistant Responsibilities

Greet patients courteously, followed by rooming, taking vital signs, charting, taking histories, and asking additional relevant questions
Perform EKG, vaccine/medication injections, ear lavage
Assist while provider is performing physical exams and procedures
Organizing and maintaining patient records in a HIPAA-compliant manner
Managing prescription requests
Recording and restocking medical supplies
Maintain sanitary condition of the office daily
Submitting referrals
Administrative works including answering phones
Other relevant miscellaneous responsibilities
