Back-Office Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Greet patients courteously, followed by rooming, taking vital signs, charting, taking histories, and asking additional relevant questions
- Perform EKG, vaccine/medication injections, ear lavage
- Assist while provider is performing physical exams and procedures
- Organizing and maintaining patient records in a HIPAA-compliant manner
- Managing prescription requests
- Recording and restocking medical supplies
- Maintain sanitary condition of the office daily
- Submitting referrals
- Administrative works including answering phones
- Other relevant miscellaneous responsibilities
