Work Environment\n

You will be working remotely from a community health clinic environment, which allows for flexibility and an accommodating work-life balance. Your schedule will predominantly involve Monday to Friday shifts, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends as necessary to meet student and program needs. Collaboration with educators and other health professionals will be a critical part of your role, ensuring a cohesive approach to care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for students, assessing their unique challenges and formulating appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop tailored therapeutic strategies focusing on the emotional and social integration of students into their educational settings.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using modalities proven effective for ASD, ADHD, and trauma recovery.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, maintaining a calm and effective response in high-pressure situations.

• Educate students and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources.
\n
• Maintain compliant documentation of all sessions and assessments, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development sessions to remain informed about current practices and policies.

The ideal candidate will work directly with a wide range of students who have varying levels of needs and challenges, including those with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD. As a mental health counselor, your work is vital in promoting positive mental well-being, fostering resilience, and facilitating effective academic performance.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.
