Old Dominion University is hiring an Audit Director. The role leads the University Audit function by developing and executing a risk-based audit plan covering financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits, special reviews, investigations, and advisory engagements. The Audit Director drives innovation through data analytics and artificial intelligence, enhances stakeholder engagement, and cultivates audit talent to provide proactive risk intelligence supporting governance and institutional resilience. Highlights Provide strategic and operational oversight to the University Audit department. Lead financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits along with special reviews and investigations. Develop and execute risk-based audit plans aligned with institutional priorities. Advance audit innovation using data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence. Enhance stakeholder engagement and develop audit talent. Ensure adherence to professional auditing standards and strengthen internal controls. Position University Audit as a value-added risk intelligence function beyond traditional assurance.
