We are looking for a Remodeling Carpenter I to join our growing Remodeling team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to develop professional carpentry skills, and is ready to build a career in residential remodeling.

You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters and remodeling professionals while learning YBG’s construction methods, quality standards, and jobsite practices.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with demolition, jobsite preparation, material handling, cleanup, and protection of finished surfaces.
• Support experienced carpenters with framing, drywall, cabinets, windows and doors, trim, flooring, tile, exterior work, and other remodeling activities.
• Learn to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install materials.
• Learn to read construction drawings, scopes of work, and work orders.
• Safely use and maintain hand and power tools.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Communicate questions, material needs, and jobsite concerns to the Lead Carpenter or Remodeling Supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with YBG employees and trade partners.
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures.

You may be early in your construction career, but you are dependable, hardworking, comfortable working with your hands, and eager to learn. You take direction well, care about doing things correctly, and want the opportunity to develop into a skilled carpenter.

Qualifications

• Interest in developing a career in residential remodeling and carpentry.
• Previous construction, carpentry, vocational, or hands-on experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic measuring and math skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn the proper use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential construction work, including regularly lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 75 pounds.
