Job Summary and Qualifications

In the role of PICU Clinical Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals to ensure the effective implementation of patient care plans and departmental objectives. You will serve as a professional role model, engaging directly with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Utilizing your physical assessment skills and advanced diagnostic tools, you will evaluate the nursing care needs of patients. Continuous monitoring of patients' physical, emotional, and social conditions will be essential as you refine care plans to meet desired outcomes.

• Develop and approve unit schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines.
• Coordinate staff attendance at mandatory educational programs.
• Interpret hospital and personnel policies for physicians, nursing staff, patients, visitors, and other personnel.
• Complete incident reports for patients and employees within 24 hours of any occurrence.
• Coordinate unit operations with other hospital departments.
• Maintain accurate staff and patient assignment records consistently.
• Assign staff based on their skills and the acuity of patient needs.

Qualifications Required:

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience - Required

Education:

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
