This role will be a vital member of the AVE Modeling and Simulation and Analysis (AVE MS&A) team responsible for AVE performance and flight assessment.What you will get to do:Executing trajectory simulation tools, both in 3 and 6 degrees of freedom, analyzing the results of those simulations, developing algorithms for missile targeting softwareImplementing numerical methods, as well as other missile models.Trajectory simulations support, but are not limited to, payload to range, post boost vehicle maneuverability, weapon system effectiveness, accuracy, vehicle environment characterization, and flight test predictions.Missile targeting software generates trajectory profiles to be used when carrying out the mission.Basic RequirementsT02: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with MastersT03: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDMust be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needModeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience of Aerospace Vehicles through either professional work experience or education performing physics based simulation and analysisExperience with GitExcellent technical writing skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsPreferred to have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needsC++ programming experienceExperience with mission level simulations (Red vs. Blue, e.g. ITASE, AFSIM, HLA Federations, etc.)Experience with missile modeling and trajectory simulationProficiency with C++, MATLAB, and pythonExperience using TAOS to model trajectoriesExperience using AFSIM for mission level simulationsPosition Benefits:As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:  Medical, Dental & Vision coverage  401k  Educational Assistance  Life Insurance  Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions   Paid Time Off   Health & Wellness Resources   Employee Discounts  This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80.
