Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for elderly clients to ascertain their specific counseling needs and establish a foundation for personalized care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at alleviating emotional distress linked to aging, bereavement, and significant life changes.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop tailored care plans that address the holistic needs of our clients.

• Provide ongoing education to family members and caregiving staff regarding best practices to support seniors' mental and emotional health.

• Offer compassionate grief and loss counseling to clients and their families navigating end-of-life issues, promoting understanding and coping strategies during these challenging times.

• Implement cognitive stimulation activities and mental health therapies designed to enhance cognitive function and emotional resilience in older adults.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves seniors dealing with a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders. Your work will focus on helping this vulnerable population navigate the complexities of aging, loss, and emotional health, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and understanding environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.

• A minimum of four years’ experience in geriatric counseling and mental health services, ideally within an outpatient setting.

• Proven experience with evidence-based treatment strategies designed for older adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to the competitive salary, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus to support your transition into our organization.
