Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions within the rehabilitation facility.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques such as exercise programs, stretching techniques, and hands-on manipulation.
• Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions, and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure the achievement of therapeutic goals.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, including how to use assistive devices and techniques for self-care and ambulation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance coordinated patient care and share insights on individual patient cases.
• Stay updated with the latest physical therapy advancements by attending workshops and engaging with professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Viability, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population of all ages, addressing a wide range of physical conditions from post-operative rehabilitation to sports injuries and chronic pain management. This role allows you to make substantial differences in the lives of your patients by restoring their mobility and improving their daily functions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and healthcare software systems, allowing for seamless documentation and patient tracking.
• Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of clinical experience is requested, highly motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply, as we offer mentorship programs to support your transition into practice. Experience working in inpatient physical therapy settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
