Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient clinic in Bronxville, NY. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate varying patient schedules and clinic operations. Our clinic features a welcoming atmosphere, equipped with modern therapy tools, private treatment rooms, and spacious areas for group therapy sessions, ensuring that our practitioners and patients can collaborate effectively during rehabilitation sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and other physical activities designed to enhance wellness and promote pain relief.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, creating structured home exercise programs to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Administer and monitor therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold treatments, ensuring that protocols align with best practices.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress, tracking metrics such as range of motion and strength improvement.
• Organize and prepare treatment areas effectively, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for use during patient appointments.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, which includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals in a motivating and positive environment.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their rights throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits
