Work Environment

This onsite position is based within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technology to facilitate effective treatment plans. Our facility is designed to foster collaboration and communication among therapists and patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to recovery. As a full-time member of our team, you will follow a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, diseases, or surgical procedures, tracking their progress toward recovery.
• Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate techniques such as therapeutic exercises, stretching maneuvers, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on tailored home exercise programs and therapeutic modalities to ensure continuity of care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of treatment protocols, patient responses, and clinical outcomes to support ongoing patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to share knowledge, collaborate on treatment strategies, and stay updates on best practices within the field of physiotherapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapist will work with a varied patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from major orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, or trauma, as well as those managing chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders. You will have the opportunity to apply a wide range of therapeutic approaches to enhance mobility and quality of life, catering to both elderly and younger patients alike within a supportive rehabilitation context.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic word processing software.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is highly preferred, though new graduates with a desire to learn and grow will also be considered.
• A proactive approach to patient care, coupled with flexibility and adaptability in therapy sessions to meet patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
