The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Position offers a $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus at Manheim (a Cox Automotive company). This role involves serving as a mid‑level auto tech performing medium‑duty work. Benefits Competitive pay $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus for new auto techs Career growth through Cox Auto University training, GED reimbursement, and free ASE training/certification Referral bonuses: at least $1,000 for each new eligible technician referral 30+ days of paid vacation and company holidays per year, plus up to 44 paid days off with additional time from the job Comprehensive health benefits from day 1 with multiple options for individuals and families 10 days of free child or senior care through Care.com membership Generous 401(k) retirement plans with up to 8% company match Employee discounts on products, education, and other items What You’ll Do Perform medium‑duty auto maintenance and repairs for all vehicles Diagnose brake components, tires, suspension, drivability, and complete repairs Execute advanced diagnostics - including charging, starting, AC, OBDII, drivability, electrical systems - and complete repairs Conduct mechanical inspections with required measurements of interior/exterior, engine and drive line components, under‑hood inspection, and document deficiencies Comply with procedures and regulations for recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash Up‑fit new vehicles with necessary equipment Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts Perform OEM recalls when required Who You Are You have a foundation of skills and want to continue learning and advancing. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years’ experience in a related field; or a higher degree/certification beyond HS diploma/GED with at least 5 years’ experience Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles Drug Testing Employment requires a pre‑employment drug test.
