Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and, when necessary, diagnose mental health conditions in patients using established tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate cultural diversity and specific needs relevant to the patient population served, reflecting a holistic approach to mental health.

• Continually monitor and assess patient progress through ongoing evaluations, applying evidence-based interventions and strategies to foster recovery and enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Utilize current technology to prepare and maintain accurate and timely treatment records, reports, and clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards and departmental protocols.

• Collaborate closely with patients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans aimed at addressing psychological needs and enhancing quality of life.

• Facilitate connections between patients and healthcare resources by coordinating referrals and serving as a liaison with treatment providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate and mentor students, interns, and peers, contributing to the development of future mental health professionals and fostering a culture of learning and sharing best practices.

• Participate in clinical collaborations, peer reviews, and coaching initiatives under the supervision of your clinical supervisor, aimed at enhancing team performance and individual growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be serving individuals and families dealing with the mental health challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. This includes addressing a range of emotional, psychological, and social factors that may arise due to a patient's condition. Your skills and understanding of the complex dynamics involved in oncology-related mental health will be pivotal in developing effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
