Dialysis Clinical Manager Registered Nurse - RN

Purpose and Scope Manage and oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring cost‑effective operations in accordance with all legal, compliance and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse on quality patient care from admission through discharge. Oversee home therapies program, maintain medical and operations records, and manage profit and loss to meet budget and key performance indicators. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Clinic Operations Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports. Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments. Collaborate with the Home Therapies Program Manager. Maintain integrity of medical and operations records and comply with all data collection and auditing activities. Ensure completion of ICD coding and required network reporting. Coordinate short‑ and long‑term objectives, managing costs, methods, and staffing. Administer daily business operations, including staff functions, quality of patient care, facility maintenance, and inventory control. Manage profit and loss and other financial aspects to achieve or exceed budget. Patient Care Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge. Act as a resource for patients and families to address concerns and questions. Oversee timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans. Manage patient schedules to ensure efficiency and address missed treatments. Report changes in patient status regarding clinical, insurance, or transportation issues. Staff Participate in selection and hiring of new team members; ensure completion of orientation and mandatory training. Ensure patients’ care employees complete training and maintain current licensures/certifications. Provide support for clinical staff and encourage professional growth. Maintain current knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes. Obtain clinical feedback for employee evaluations and establish annual goals. Document disciplinary actions and consult with Director of Operations and Human Resources when necessary. Manage staff scheduling and payroll. Physicians Facilitate physician privilege application and ensure compliance with Medical Staff By‑Laws. Maintain strong physician relationships and ensure regular communication. Participate in the governing body for regional policies. Other Responsibilities Collaborate with the Clinical Manager/Charge RN, Medical Director, and physicians to ensure outstanding quality of patient care. Implement and maintain CQI and QAPI improvement processes involving staff and physicians. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws; develop and maintain strong Medical Director and physician relationships. Support FMS quality standards, implement K‑C goals, and manage training compliance. Address adverse safety events and action thresholds with the Charge RN. Maintain integrity of medical records and ensure compliance with data collection and auditing activities. Oversee daily activities, staffing workload, and employee scheduling. Provide informal and formal feedback to staff during performance evaluations. Manage hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions per personnel policies. Manage inventory, procurement, equipment maintenance, and facility safety. Coordinate payroll, billing, and survey participation. Supervision Supervise Charge RN and DPC Staff. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Desk and computer work; interaction with patients, staff, and physicians. Work in a health‑care facility environment with controlled temperature and moderate noise. Frequent prolonged standing and ability to bend over. Assistance may be required to move patients and equipment up to 200 lbs. Travel to regional, business unit, and corporate meetings may be required. Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN). Current RN state licensure. Experience and Required Skills Experience in clinical nursing. At least six months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience. Demonstrated leadership competencies and management skills, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, employee motivation, performance management, and decision making. Successful passage of Ishihara Color Blind Test. Preferred Experience in a supervisory/management role in a medical facility. Med/surg or ICU/CCU experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with medical database software preferred. Compensation The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.
