What You'll Do

• Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on adult and pediatric patients
• Coordinate exam scheduling, patient transport, and billing activities with hospital departments
• Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging pertinent diagnostic information
• Respond to patient needs and report changes in conditions promptly
• Manage supplies, maintain clean and organized exam rooms, and keep equipment operational
• Log patient data and maintain accurate records in departmental systems
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of echocardiography advances
• Support on-call coverage for emergency echo exams as needed
• Assist with other cardiac procedures and ensure quality control of diagnostic equipment

What You Need

• ARDMS/CCI registered or registry eligible
• New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of echocardiogram experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and manual dexterity skills

• Allied health education (diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, registered nurse)
