Licenses/Certifications: ARDMS/CCI registration or eligibility, New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients with proficiency in 2D, M-mode, and Doppler techniques
• Coordinate with hospital departments on scheduling, patient transport, billing, and record keeping
• Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes, exchanging pertinent information for diagnosis
• Respond promptly to patient needs and report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff
• Maintain and order supplies, ensure cleanliness of exam rooms, and manage patient and exam logs
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and on-call emergency exams
• Ensure equipment quality control and coordinate repairs as needed
• Stay current with advances in Echocardiography; seek mentorship from cardiologists as appropriate
• Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed

What You Need

• Required:
• ARDMS/CCI registered or eligible, or comparable national accreditation
• New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• High school diploma or equivalent; two-year allied health education preferable
• Manual dexterity and strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Preferred:
• Two years of echocardiogram experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments
