Senior Accountant

The Encompass Group is partnering with a fast-growing healthcare organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who wants exposure beyond traditional month-end responsibilities. The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Technical Accounting Manager on technical accounting projects, GAAP research, and M&A activities while contributing to a growing and evolving organization. What You’ll Do Partner directly with the Technical Accounting Manager on a variety of accounting initiatives and special projects. Perform technical accounting research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to business transactions and accounting matters. Support accounting activities related to mergers and acquisitions . Assist with complex accounting projects and provide accurate, well-supported analysis. Utilize Excel to analyze financial information and support accounting processes and reporting. Clearly communicate technical accounting concepts and findings to internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and overall efficiency. Take ownership of assigned projects while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field . 3–6+ years of accounting experience . Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles. Public accounting experience strongly preferred. CPA or CPA-eligible preferred . Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis . Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP system is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting concepts clearly.
