Job Summary/Description

We are hiring a contractor Business Systems Analyst who will have the opportunity to work with IT, Procurement, and Legal teams to identify application owners, research hardware and software licensing terms, and obtain an agreement on the number of licenses to be transferred to an outside company as part of a divestiture program. They will be responsible for researching purchase orders and contracts to obtain information on current agreements. He/she should be able to understand the business implications of transferring licenses, and make recommendations on quantities to transfer. They will also track and report status of all license transfer activities. Role responsibilities include:

• Working with IT PMO to define and analyze solutions to problems relating to hardware and software license transfer activities
• Assisting IT PMO to define a process for managing and tracking the transfer of hardware and software licenses to an external entity
• Using procurement tools and other asset inventory applications to research products purchased from a list of suppliers
• Using procurement tools and other resources to identify suppliers for a list of applications and/or hardware products procured by Dell
• Providing analysis of historical procurement data utilizing tools such as Excel and Ariba
• Identifying application owners and working with them to obtain consensus on quantities of licenses to transfer
• Working with IT, Procurement, and other business units to identify current hardware and software license terms in purchase orders and contracts as necessary
• Tracking progress on license transfer activities and providing status
• Preparing presentations on license transfer activities, issues, status, etc. as needed

Skills Required

Work Experience of Business Analyst of 5 -10 years

Business/Management Information Systems degree preferred

Ability to problem-solve; considering business process and environmental changes

Ability to understand and speak to systems and business processes at a broad level

Strong Excel skills required

Strong PowerPoint skills preferred

1-2 yrs. experience working in Ariba or similar procurement application to search purchase orders and contracts

Knowledge of general procurement processes and documents including purchase orders, purchase requisitions, Statements of Work (SOW), and contracts.
