Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Days (5x8)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekly Pay: $1,725.20 (includes hourly pay + stipend)
Position OverviewA leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during diagnostic and advanced endoscopic procedures. The role involves direct procedural support, patient preparation, equipment handling, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including advanced procedures such as ERCPs, EUS, and POEMs
Prepare and welcome patients, including verifying identity and ensuring proper positioning
Set up, test, and maintain endoscopy equipment, instruments, and supplies
Coordinate loaner equipment and report any malfunctions to clinical engineering
Collect, label, and ensure timely transport of specimens to the laboratory
Maintain quality outcomes by adhering to facility policies, procedures, and standards
High School Diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification (Required)
ACLS Certification (Preferred)
Endoscopy Technician Certification (Preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
At least 1 year of experience assisting physicians with advanced endoscopy procedures (ERCPs, EUS, POEMs)
Proficiency with Olympus endoscopes
Knowledge of endoscopic ultrasound equipment and related procedures
Preferred experience with ProVation MD software
