The NARCH Grant Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for grant-funded activities and may oversee student employees, interns, consultants, and project participants as assigned. The position coordinates project implementation but does not exercise direct supervisory authority over regular college employees unless specifically assigned.
General Statement of Duties
The NARCH Grant Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) Program at Blackfeet Community College. The position works closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to implement all grant objectives, maintain compliance with federal grant requirements, coordinate research and educational activities, manage project timelines, monitor grant expenditures, prepare reports, organize meetings and community engagement activities, and support program evaluation efforts.
The NARCH Grant Coordinator serves as the primary operational contact for the grant and collaborates with faculty, researchers, students, tribal programs, funding agencies, community partners, and college departments to ensure successful implementation of grant activities while supporting the mission of Blackfeet Community College.
Specific Area of Duties
The NARCH Grant Coordinator shall:
· Coordinate daily operations of the NARCH grant.
· Assist the Principal Investigator in meeting all grant goals, objectives, and deliverables.
· Monitor project timelines to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
· Maintain complete grant records and documentation.
· Coordinate grant activities among faculty, researchers, staff, students, consultants, and community partners.
· Assist in preparing annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and special reports required by the funding agency.
· Coordinate research activities and research education initiatives.
· Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and research compliance requirements.
· Coordinate community outreach and engagement activities.
· Organize conferences, workshops, seminars, research symposiums, and training events.
· Schedule and coordinate meetings of advisory boards, research teams, consultants, and community stakeholders.
· Develop meeting agendas and maintain official meeting minutes.
· Coordinate faculty and student research opportunities.
· Monitor grant expenditures and assist with budget tracking in collaboration with the Business Office.
· Prepare purchase requisitions, consultant agreements, travel requests, and Human Resource Action forms.
· Coordinate grant-related travel arrangements.
· Assist with program evaluation and outcome measurement.
· Collect, organize, and maintain program data.
· Maintain communication with funding agency representatives and project partners.
· Ensure compliance with NIH requirements, grant conditions, institutional policies, and applicable federal regulations.
· Assist in developing future grant proposals and sustainability efforts.
· Prepare reports and presentations for administration, advisory committees, and funding agencies.
· Represent the program at local, regional, and national meetings.
· Participate in professional development opportunities related to grant administration and research.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Biology, Education, Business Administration, Research Administration, or a related field required.
· Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in grant administration, program coordination, research administration, higher education, or related experience.
· Experience working with federally funded grants.

Complexity

Physical Demands
Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment requiring prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer usage, and operation of standard office equipment. Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. Evening, weekend, and overnight travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, training sessions, and grant-related activities.
