Description A day in the life of a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence‑based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide and ensure safe, excellent delivery of individualized patient care. Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other members of the health‑care team regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans. Medication administration utilizing bar‑scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery of medications. Point‑of‑care electronic documentation of each patient’s assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care. Patient and family centered education aimed at optimizing health, wellness, and disease management. Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care. Responsibilities The role requires: Current and valid New Jersey nursing license. BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification. BSN strongly preferred or willingness to acquire within 3 years. Minimum of 1 year critical‑care nursing experience. Ventilator experience. Prior PACU/recovery experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong teamwork focus, dedication to ongoing education, and commitment to the highest quality of care. Job Duties and Compensation The starting rate of pay is $44.24 hourly. Pay may vary based on market data, experience, education, certifications, skill level, geographic location, internal equity, and budget considerations. Shift differentials and performance‑based incentives may apply.
