Financial Analyst (Entry Level – Contract) – Walnut Creek, CA. Responsibilities Assist in compiling and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. Use Excel and financial software to create reports, dashboards, and presentations. Collaborate across departments to monitor budgets, projections, and key performance metrics. Conduct market research and benchmark analysis to identify trends and opportunities for the organization. Support the preparation of forecasts and variance analyses for monthly and quarterly reports. Help identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex data. Familiarity with basic financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to contribute in a collaborative team setting. Basic knowledge of financial software or tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, or Power BI) is an advantage but not required.
