Overview $10,000 sign‑on bonus and $5,000 relocation (for greater than 100 miles) or $2,500 relocation (for greater than 50 miles) for nurses with 1 or more year's experience - External Applicants Only The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year – American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year – American Heart Association (AHA) Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA) Associate’s Degree in Nursing No specific prior nursing work experience required Responsibilities Perform all duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care to ensure information integration. Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop appropriate plan of care based on unit standards, patient and family needs. Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modify plan of care based on continuous evaluation. Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Offer constructive feedback to assist in professional development of peers and collaborate with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identify own learning needs and take initiative to seek appropriate solutions. Fulfill all departmental competency requirements. Perform ED nursing procedures and patient assessment, develop and modify care plans in collaboration with providers, family and patients. Ensure patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions, adhering to safety standards and reporting hazards. Effectively communicate and collaborate with staff, visitors and families to promote a healthy and healing work environment. Compensation and Benefits Hourly compensation range: $38.93 – $63.35 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
