This full-time, contract opportunity runs from early August through late May, and involves working onsite across multiple locations. Your expertise will help empower students to move confidently and independently, making a lasting impact on their daily lives and educational experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Arizona Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Endorsement
• Completion of an accredited O&M program
• Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) credential
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Experience supporting students in educational settings is highly desirable
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable transportation for travel between sites as needed
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive orientation and mobility assessments for students with visual impairments
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized O&M instructional plans
• Teach techniques for safe and effective navigation at school and in the community
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
• Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and document service delivery
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute O&M expertise to educational planning
• Provide consultation and training to staff on best practices for accessibility and mobility
