Position Responsibilities

• Conduct both standard and complex laboratory tests-including but not limited to chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established procedures.
• Evaluate the accuracy of results, address discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance as well as calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist in collecting specimens and prepare samples for various tests as necessary.
• Keep meticulous records of all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and consistently uphold laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure the laboratory environment remains clean and safe while adhering to all regulations and accreditation standards.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certification Requirements

• Achieve ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of employment.
• Maintain your certification for the duration of your employment in this role.
